    Generic drug production is a large part of the pharmaceutical industry in China. Western observers have said that China lacks administrative protection for patents. However, entry to the World Trade Organization has brought a stronger patent system.. Industry. As of , several major companies traditionally dominate the generic drugs market, including Teva, Mylan, Novartis' Sandoz, Amneal.   New figures have revealed the most commonly used illegal drugs in Ireland. The data released by the European Monitoring Centre For Drugs And Drug Addiction (EMCDDA) shows that cannabis is the most popular drug among people aged 15 to 34 in this country. % of those in this age group have used the drug at one point or another.

    Just over one in four Irish adults over the age of 15 (%) had admitted using an illegal drug in their lifetime, with % having admitted to doing so in the last 12 months and 4% in the last. The group is made up of several of the largest generic drugs manufacturers operating in Ireland, including the likes of Mylan, Teva Pharma and Clonmel Healthcare. Generic medicines are copies of branded medicines developed by drug companies. When the patent for a branded medicine expires, other companies can then make generic copies. Separate.

      However, according to data from the most recent Drugs Ireland publication, the substances consumed have not changed much.
